Today court of Delhi hearing the Himachal CM’s irregular assets case

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who was facing irregular assets case, met the lawyers at Jantar Mantar Government House on Wednesday after reaching New Delhi. He discussed the matter with the lawyers at five o’clock in the evening. The Patiala House court will be hearing disproportionate assets case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, his wife Pratibha Singh and others on Thursday. After the hearing at the Patiala House Court, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh scheduled to go to Kerala.

The court will also hear the application of Virbhadra Singh seeking permanent exemption from personal appearance before the court.

Earlier on October 31, the special Investigation (CBI) court adjourned the hearing of Virbhadra Singh’s exemption plea in irregular assets case to November 30.

During the previous hearing, the court directed the CBI to hand over certain documents to Virbhadra in connection with the case. The court’s direction after coming Virbhadra, Pratibha and others told the court that they had not received various documents filed along with the charge sheet.

Earlier on May 29, the court granted bail to all accused, including the Chief Minister and his wife, in the matter.

The courts told that to Virbhadra for his personal bond and give them to furnish Rs 1 lakh surety of the amount. He was also asked to not leave the country without the court’s permission.

The CBI in its 500-page charge sheet claimed that Virbhadra has accumulated assets worth around Rs 10 crore which were disproportionate to his total income during his tenure as a Union minister.
